I installed the 2TB drive and everything worked like a charm. But when I go to "my computer" it does not show the new hard drive. It still shows the old drive and it's storage capacity. I did install the Crucial Storage Executive and it shows the drive but it also still shows the old C drive that was there before. Anyone know how I can correct this?

If you mean you're trying to use it as a secondary drive then you need to go to windows control panel -> admin tools -> computer management -> disk management.
Then initialise the drive
If you're trying to replace your existing drive then forget the above and either:
install Windows to the new drive (you are best off disconnecting your old drive before doing this) - you can reconnect it after Windows is installed
or clone your old Windows install to your new drive

Most laptops can only take one drive. So if you installed the SSD in your laptop then surely that's the drive it's using? If you can fit two drives - does it work if you remove your old drive?

Yes I replaced the old drive. The new drive is in and works great but when I go to "my computer" it still shows the specs for the old drive and not the new drive. I replaced the 500GB drive that was in there with the new 2TB drive but it still shows the old specs for the 500GB drive. Really odd.

I'm not sure what you mean by old specs. Do you mean you're only seeing the drive as 500GB? If so you likley just need to resize the partition. You should be able to do this from the aforementioned control panel -> admin tools -> computer management -> disk management
https://www.partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html is good if the above won't let you do it.
If this isn't what you mean, are you able to clarify your problem please? Perhaps a screenshot showing the issue?

You're welcome. Glad it helped.
