MX500 SMART parameters?

Hi,

I see smartmontools does not yet have info on the MX500 line.

Is there a full datasheet somewhere on the Crucial site that lists all the SMART parameter name to ID mappings?

Re: MX500 SMART parameters?

I haven't found a list for the MX500 yet, so I've just been using the older list of attributes from here as the attributes I monitor are most likely the same.   I did see someone had already created a bug report with smartmontools to update the database for the MX500.

Ha! I was hoping that someone from Crucial would supply the info so I could add it to that very smartmontools ticket. Smiley Happy

You can contact Crucial via the customer services link in our signatures.

Other SMART monitor tools (never used this one) have just taken my word for it when it when I've passed them the SMART layout.  They haven't required Microns input.  Mind you, in the past I think the document did say it supported the drive I claimed it did. Smiley Very Happy

If someone would post CSE screenshot with all attribute names that would be useful too Smiley Happy

smartmontools is the tool used by basically every unix/unix-like OS these days.  It's also the basis for a few other tools on OS-X and Windows. You might even say it's pretty much the reference implementation of SMART data collection.

What I'm basically looking for is something like Intel and other drive manufacturers supply - a datasheet (not a whitepaper or marketing document, but something that's got full drive specs, which normally include all the SMART parameters).  An example: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/ssdc/hpssd/sb/Intel_SSD_320_Series_Product... (see page 18 for SMART stuff)

Something like that makes it easier for the smartmontools developers to add support for the drive.

Re: MX500 SMART parameters?

The Technical Note that HwTech linked earlier exactly matches the output from Storage Exec provided by Bogdan:

So althought they haven't updated the model list on page 1, it is using the same layout as the older drives and you can use that guide.
