SSD Crucial SSD MX-500 - SATA (conected)

I installed a new SSD as SATA in my PC and now I can't see the usb devices in the explorer.

My PC:

  • Motherboard Asus Z97-AR
  • 2 Disk: HD 1TB and Crucial SSD 500 MB
  • RAM 32 GB
  • Windows 7 Enterprise 64

When I try to find out in Device Management the USB devices, I can see that there is a problem when windows is started the devices. I done differents things from Microsoft help and it didn´t work. Finally I want to update the driver of the disk from web page but I can´t find the download link.

any another idea??

Thanks for your help...

Can you clarify a little bit about what you've done?

You suggest you've simply fitted it to your PC.  For use as a secondary drive?  That wouldn't have any effect on your USB devices.

Or have you clean installed Windows to the SSD?

Or cloned your old HDD to the SSD?  In which case the cloen may have jhad issues.  Cloning seems to sometimes muck up realtek sound drivers for instance.

The disk itself doesn't have a driver. No drives do.  Though the port it is plugged into on your motherboard will have drivers but they will already be present or your hard drive wouldn't work.

Also can you clarify what USB devices aren't working?  Unless you posted from a secondary computer, the fact you posted here suggests your keyboard (and probably your mouse) are working.  And they're likely to be USB.
