After cloning an MX300 750GB to an MX500 1TB with acronis, I compared the 2 x 1.3 Mio files.
The result was a litte surprising, as there were about 10 little files with differences.
I repeated the procedure 3 times.
Each time there were 5-10 differences. But each time different files were affected. (!)
Each time all affected files were 1 in the same folders per run.
But each time different folders were affected.
Any idea what's causing this?
I checked the whole free area of a newly formatted MX500 1TB with h2test2 with no errors.

So you're cloning outside of Windows? How are you comparing them? If you're cloning from within Windows, I'd be surprised that so little had changed!

> So you're cloning outside of Windows?
Yes. With Acronis, which reboots into its own environment.
> How are you comparing them?
Clever and smart.
With Total Commander
> If you're cloning from within Windows, I'd be surprised that so little had changed!
I'd be too. ( )

What type(s) of files were affected and how did they differ?
When using Total Commander to compare, were you still booting outside of the drives you were comparing?
