3 Long Beeps

3 Long Beeps

I have a new computer:

MSI H55M-E33 LGA 1156 motherboard.

Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield processor.

Crucial 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600)

When I turn it on it gives me three long (~2 sec) beeps and nothing else. It won't boot. I can't get to the bios. Is this a problem with the memory?

Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Re: 3 Long Beeps

First, I'd recommend trying the memory one at a time in the system.  The odds of you having two bad sticks of RAM is very slim.  If one works and the other doesn't, then you know it is a bad memory problem.

If this doesn't answer the question for you, please respond with the full CT part number that is printed on the modules.
