Good Afternoon, I would like to know I have a Toshiba  and it has 3GB on it right now I have checked and the Max is only 4GB I put more memory than 4GB would it work???

Installing more memory than the manufacturer lists as compatible is done completely at your own risk.  In most cases one of three things will happen if you try to install more than the specs say the system can handle.  First, it won't boot at all.  Second, it will boot, but only recognize up to what your system can support.  Third, the system will boot, recognize the full amount, but the system will be unstable.


Since we do not test or recommend more than the system manufacturer says, I could not tell you what scenario you might run into.
