Re: Crucial part number for micron memory

Thank you for the reply.

The part number you mention, CT16G4WFD8266, has higher speed and latency than MTA18ASF2G72AZ-2G3B1. Will this be a concern?

Should i be using this instead: CT16G4WFD824A ?

Also I wanted to use this memory for the following motherboard:

Supermicro X11SSM-F

When checking with the compatibility upgrade guarantee tool it list the following two parts:

CT7982371

CT11003456

These two memory parts seem similar to CT16G4WFD824A and CT16G4WFD8266 respectively.

Are they the same parts just with different codes?

Thank you

Re: Crucial part number for micron memory

@elgingero Thanks for your reply. CT7982371 is the same part as CT16G4WFD824A. CT11003456 is the same part as CT16G4WFD8266. These two parts are almost identical to each other, but our different speeds. Your system can handle both speeds, if your CPU can not, it will clock down to the slower speed with no issues. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
