I have a 8GB DDR3 RAM with # CT102464BA, would like to purchase another 8GB same ram as well.
However all i can see online are with #CT102464BD. is it competitable and can work as a pair with the CT102464BA? What is the differences?

Crucial seems to be lazy to create a part decoder for their products. OK, from what I know these two letters designate "Module Type". “BA” means a 240-pin DDR3 UDIMM with ECC & temperature sensor. I don’t know what “BD” means, sorry.

@GaryH Thanks for your message. BA references UDIMM memory that runs at 1.5v. BD references UDIMM memory that runs at 1.35v. The BA part has mainly been discontinued as we've moved everything to the dual voltage RAM. Our BD parts will run at 1.5v if necessary, so these parts should work together just fine. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
