Re: What computer is CT12864Z408 for?

Hi Zeteta,

Part number CT12864Z40B is our generic part number for a 1GB DDR PC3200 Non-ECC DIMM which can be used in many different systems that require that spec of memory.  CT441518 is an external part number  for a kit of two of the above modules.  The number is different because it specifically relates to the Power Mac G5 Dual 2GHz 8 DIMM slot model for referencing purposes on our database.  So if you have the Power Mac G5 (Dual 2.0GHz DDR, 4 or 8 DIMM slot system, this module will be compatible.  However, it requires matched pairs so you would really need to install two of them- is it just the one you have been given or a pair?

The other thing to note is that there is a newer revision of this model which takes DDR2 memory so please check within your System Profiler to ensure yours is the DDR one before you attempt to install this.
