Thank you for the quick replies guys, the answer lied within the thread I posted. Just had to replace a couple of files for it to work with the BX100 .iso files (there are also other instructions for the other models). Just updated it effortlessly!

Re: Feedback Thread: Firmware MU02 for BX100

Finally, after 3 weeks, working configuration:

SSD is connected to PCI-E card with SATA-3 interface (ASM 106x chip), firmware is updated to latest version 0.951.
Installed lates Asmedia SATA AHCI drivers 3.1.8.0 (Oct 2015), latest (for my m/b) Intel drivers -  11.7.0.1013
All HDD's are connected to motherboard controller. If I try to connect one of them to Asmedia card (it have 2 SATA connectors) - BSOD.
And in BIOS, internal Intel controller is switched to IDE mode (!!!).

Only in this case etherything works ok. Yes, HDD's are not so fast in IDE mode, but they are for data storage, not for work.

Hello, does BX100 still doesn't have the solution to boot on AHCI mode on some laptops? Mine doesnt!

Could be worse.

It's better than Marvell 91xx and miles better than jmicron. Smiley Happy

And anything else is gonna set you back the price of a proper raid card or a new motherboard isn't it?  Though I've not looked at the options lately...

Marvell 92xx is miles ahead of asmedia in driver capability and performance.
