M4 64ggb SSD in 2006 MacBook Pro A1150

After many dodgy attempts with other brands I finally got an M4 64gb, plugged it into my MBP internally and it worked without any hassle at all.

I did not check firmware or upgrade or anything and here I am typing away and, so far, no crashes, hangs, freezes or anything.

I know I am only getting 1.5gb with this being an old MBP but, so far, everything is nice and smooth.

I hope this gives hope to any trying to decide what make of SSD to go for as this M4 worked out of the box.

Out of interest, is thee a way of finding out the firmware with a MAC utility?

cheers, Gordie
