MX100 restore problem, Macbook late 2007

I just installed a new 256GB MX100 SSD in my late 2007 13" Macbook, 2.0ghz Core 2 Duo because my old 80gb HD was nearly full.  I am trying to do a full system restore from my Time Capsule via ethernet, holding the alt/option key on startup but it does not boot to the Utilities screen. All I get is a blank screen with cursor arrow or, If I release the alt/option key right after the chime, I get a flashing folder icon with a "?" and no cursor.

Before installation I verified Recovery HD is on my TC. I also created a clone copy on a separate HD but have not tried that yet. Suggestions?

TIA

Hi gwatkins,

Thanks for your post.

We actually have a guide on how to copy your existing hard drive to your new SSD.  Please follow these steps and it should allow you to copy from Disk Utility no problem at all.

If you do need any help at all, please just let me know and I would be more than happy to help.
