MX200SSD unpowered data retention

Hi, I have a couple of spare MX200SSDs (250GB) and would like to use them as a cloned backup drive.

If the SSD is stored on the shelf betweern backups, how long can the SSD retain data when it is unpowered?

What interval would you recommend to reconnect the drive and re-perfom the backup to ensure the data integrtiy of the backup is upheld?

Hi mx200SSDuser,

Personally, cost-wise I woudn't recommend any SSD as a pure backup storage.

How often are you going to refresh your backups?

Depends on your storage temperature.  Below 25C should see you good for 2 years: http://www.pcworld.com/article/2925173/debunked-your-ssd-wont-lose-data-if-left-unplugged-after-all....
