The M4 has 1204 Power On Hours. Thank you for the CrystalDiskInfo reference. I have appended a screen print. I have not knowingly installed the LargeSystemCache registry tweak on this machine. I have the 000f & 010g updates downloaded, but not installed. My M6600 BIOS is UEFI capable so 010g scares me. 000f seems to be right for me. Thank you very much!

My issue is that my M6600 BIOS A12 is not properly recognizing my M4 ssd. About 10 months ago, I purchased a Dell M6600 "refurb" (a return to the factory, sold with 3yr warrantee). I upgraded the M6600 by replacing a slow 4GB of RAM with fast 16GB RAM, wiping the factory 750hdd, relocating it to the aux hdd bay and installing the CT128M4SSD2 in primary hdd bay with a clean system install. At first, all was fine with rarely a freeze. Then I recently upgraded my BIOS (something like A3>A6>A7>A12) & my machine has begun to freeze at times. Even worse, when I tried to upgrade my video driver and my Intel controller driver, the software reported that I have something like "insufficient or missing resources". I have a moderately decked out M6600 and I should not be getting such an error message. I checked my BIOS, and my BIOS has the 750gb hdd as the primary hdd in the system information panel, but I boot from the 128gb ssd. The System Information panel does not list the ssd. However, it does appear in the boot sequence as an hdd and other Win 7 system information software properly picks up the ssd. Dell will not help because a SATA III ssd is not supposed to be supported by the M6600, only SATA II ssd's. I have not yet flashed any firmware upgrade to my ssd, it is still 0009. I have photos of many of the BIOS panels - here are some I have have other screen shots & I ran several programs for my system info. Unfortunately I can not append the 5 page report from Advanced Systems Care, but here is one of many screens from System Information for Windows. Please ask & I can provide any additional system info needed. So what do I need to do to resolve this?
