Hi all, I read on Knowledge Base that: "To prevent the SSD performance from degrading again in the future you can adjustment your power settings, to make sure that the SSD stays powered on when your computer goes into sleep mode. On a Mac computer: - Go to System Preferences - Go to Energy Saver - Make sure 'Put the hard disk(s) to sleep when possible' is unchecked." ...but, according to Apple: "Put hard disks to sleep when possible Note: Solid-state drives (SSD) do not use a motorized mechanism to read or write data. For Mac computers that only include a built-in solid-state drive, this setting does not affect the built-in drive. It only applies to externally connected, mechanical drives." Who is right? Is the note from Apple referred just to the Apple approved ssd? Should I uncheck it or not to be sure that GC is running overnight? Thank you, g.
