My soon to be son-in-law wants a PC upgrade for Christmas. The PC is a couple years old so I was planning on increasing his RAM. Motherboard: AS Rock x99M Extreme 4 Current Memory: Ballistix 2x8 GB Labels on DIMM modules: BLS8G4D240FSA.M16FADM BG112SV.28 2400 MHz 16-16-16-39 1.2v Searching for that part number I find a lot of FSB as opposed to FSA memory. Any idea what the difference is? Will putting in two more sticks of this memory be OK or should I just buy a set of 4 and have him toss the other two? For a couple year old PC it doesn't seem worth spending the extra money if buying two sticks will work.
