Well, I ordered it from a shop in my country (Hungary), and here, the customer has the right to send it back without any reasoning during the 14-day period after purchase. Since I am way out of that period, I will try to send it back under warranty, and see where it goes from there. They may send it back to Crucial, or just give me another MX500. But if the new one is also overheating and freezing, they will probably give me a refund, or they let me choose a different product for the same price. I will accept your answer as solution.
